Blog 2: My Classroom Observation.

The name of the program is called SEDOL in Lake County. There's about five schools in this program. The teacher name is Mrs. K. She handles emotional and behavior problems.  I've talked to principal and director of the this school program.  There's about 5-7 kids in the classroom.  The environment is very organized. She handles the classroom very well and I don't have any problems with her students and other teachers in this school.  I enjoyed spending time with her class and I've the importance of how to handle situations in the classroom. My insight is that they have a lot of things to handle like making sure that they are staying out trouble, making sure that they know the rules of the classroom, respect other peers around them, and other important things that they should know about. My biggest challenge is how to handle children who are emotional impaired and/or who has behavioral problems in the classroom.  I feel that this is going to be a lot of work, but this would help me improve my interaction skills and other areas that I should know about.  I've asked the teacher what testing do you use to improve their children's learning, what strategies to use to improve these situations, how does diversity affect children's learning, what's their strengths and weakness in their learning, what kind of testing to use for those behaviors, and other issues that we faced in the classroom.  We are continuing researching about these questions.  My two insight is to give each child a chance to experience life of being a good children, and also making sure that I understand the importance of children's educational skills and their future well-being of successes.

Blog 1:Interview

I've interview two professionals from SEDOL in Lake County. The first professional works at this school for over 10 years and other professional work with her to assist other children.    The five schools main focused is bringing instructional and integrated settings in the classroom. They are bring hands-on activities that they would help them understand their needs and wants in learning.  They are proficient in sign language and other areas of helping children improve their development.  This would help them recognize the child's crisis and how parents seek ways to get support about their child's development. This program also provide personal care that would enable students to help them improve their education.  As with all of the Special Education District of Lake County, this is known as "Exceptional Services for Exceptional Students."  This is the only way to help them improve their educational performances.

The way that they influence helps me figure out their experience working in a special education classroom.  I also like the way they work with hands-on and how they find strategies that would work for the child's needs.  I'll continue observing and talking to professionals and other teachers about my topic. My area of interest is Emotional/Behavior Disturbances.  The three topics are strategies, testing and behaviors.  I really hope we could I'll find ways to change children's lives.
